Communication Specialist

Mariela Hernandez is our Communication Specialist, she is responsible for ensuring the delivery of strategic communications plans and initiatives. Mariela is a graduate of Eastern New Mexico University where she received her MA in Mass Communication. Her undergraduate studies were completed at the University of New Mexico – double majoring in Spanish and Multimedia Journalism. During her last semester of her undergraduate degree, she had the privilege to complete an internship in our nation’s capital as a correspondent/reporter for Talk Media News and has worked in the media industry. Mariela has contributed from writing news stories to executing social media campaigns, from banner ads to email blasts and other digital components.

Her favorite hobbies involve being outdoors. She says it gives her peace of mind and time to reflect.
